Follow the narrow streets to Piazza de Ferrari, an iconic bronze fountain site, and explore the Teatro Carlo Felice opera house.

MSC Itinerary

Alicante, Spain
Located in southeastern Spain’s Costa Blanca, Alicante’s old town (Barrio de la Santa Cruz) features narrow streets, colorful homes, and lively cafes. The medieval Castillo de Santa Barbara overlooks it with sweeping views of the Mediterranean Coast.

Malaga, Spain

The Andalusian port of Malaga, located in Spain’s famed Costa del Sol region, is one of the world’s oldest cities. Spend a memorable day exploring Phoenician and Roman ruins, the works of Picasso, and the Alcazaba, a Moorish castle.

Casablanca Street Scene

Casablanca, Morocco
Leading inland from the port, Boulevard Hansali teems with tourist shops. Head for the old city, or medina, the original Arab section, with its maze of narrow streets flanked by whitewashed brick or stone houses. Outside the original rampart walls, see the town built by the French. Treat yourself to the sights, sounds, tastes, aroma, and romance of this exotic port.

Lisbon, Portugal

Walk or take a tram in this hilly, coastal capital of Portugal filled with pastel-colored houses, decorative ceramic wall tiles, and narrow streets that climb up the mountain. Relax to traditional Fado music in a cafe beside the Tagus River after exploring the cathedral, shopping, or enjoying the views from St. George Castle.

Barcelona, Spain

No visit to Barcelona is complete without viewing the artistic creations of Gaudi, such as the Sagrada Familia church and the Art Nouveau architecture throughout the city. Many are UNESCO sites. Stroll through the old town (Barri Gotic) that dates back to medieval times or walk the famous La Rambla, a tree-lined pedestrian street.

Marseille France

Marseille, France

At the heart of this southern port in France is the Vieux-Port, where fishmongers sell their catch along the boat-lined quay. Founded by the Greeks circa 600 B.C., this southern port of France is home to the Basilique Notre-Dame-de-la-Garde, a Romanesque-Byzantine church.
